Roger Clough is Emiritus Professor of Social Care at Lancaster University, having moved there in January 1994 from the post of Chief Inspector of Social Services with Cumbria Social Services. He started work as a teacher/housemaster in senior boys' approved schools. From there he moved to residential work and social work teaching.
