Carla Martins, PhD is a mindfulness teacher and psychologist in private practice with clinical offices in Porto and Felgueiras, Portugal. She completed an MSc in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Psychology with a focus on older people, and worked for three years as a researcher at the Oxford Project to Investigate Memory and Aging at Oxford University. She completed her training as a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor at the University of Massachusetts, and has concluded a PhD in psychology with a focus on Transpersonal Psychology. In her practice she uses transpersonal and existential approaches as well as mindfulness, acceptance and compassion techniques, and she teaches mindfulness at several universities in Portugal.
