Jenna Gensic, M.A.

Jenna Gensic, M.A. is a freelance writer and disability advocate. She is the creator of the Learn From Autistic People website and has been regularly engaging with the Autistic community and sharing Autistic expertise over the past decade.

After her son was diagnosed with autism, she quickly realized the limitations of pursuing medical, psychological, and behavioral advice from non-Autistic “experts” and began seeking advice from Autistic individuals themselves. Her
regular engagement with the Autistic community has led to the creation of two books: What Your Child on the Spectrum Really Needs: Advice From 12 Autistic Adults and The #ActuallyAutistic Guide to Advocacy, as well as the creation of the Learn From Autistic People website, which connects parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals with Autistic expertise.
